Welcome to Southampton’s oldest museum
Tudor House is Southampton’s most important historic building, revealing over 800 years of history in one fascinating location at the heart of the Old Town. The timber-framed building facing St Michael’s Square was built in the late 15th Century, with King John’s Palace, an adjacent Norman house accessible from Tudor House Garden, dating back a further 300 years. Tudor House gives a unique and atmospheric insight into the lives and times of both its residents through the years, and of Southampton itself. It appeals to visitors of all ages and interests, who find the family-friendly activities, interactive technology and fascinating displays a winning combination.

30 January 2024Met with Santa. We had our meet with Mr and Mrs clause today. The children loved it and the Tudor house was such a lovely venue for this experience. The museum itself was great, interesting with some very nice art and historical pieces. The staff were extremely accommodating, welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this santa experience for the whole family. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough.

Es starten ca. alle 10 Minuten neue Touren. Am Anfang sieht man einen gut gemachten Intro Film und geht danach selbst die Räume ab.

SeaCity Museum
Discover the story of RMS Titanic and how the tragedy affected the city and people of Southampton. Featuring an interactive model of the Titanic, recorded messages of its passengers of the fateful night, original objects from on board the world-famous ship and more. City Art Gallery
Southampton City Art Gallery holds one of the finest collections of art in the south of England and holds ‘Designated’ status, awarded by Arts Council England. Currently comprising over 5,000 works and spanning eight centuries, the collection is an outstanding educational resource that can trace the history of European art from the Renaissance to the present. The gallery has regularly rotating displays featuring works from the collection, national touring exhibitions and work by influential artists.
